Muddy Waters (1913 -1983) Cantor e guitarrista norte-americano, foi um músico de blues norte-americano, considerado o pai do Chicago blues. Foi considerado o 49.º melhor guitarrista da história, pela revista norte-americana Rolling Stone.

Muddy Waters serviu de referência e inspiração para inúmeros agrupamentos de blues dos anos 60. A sua influência estendeu-se ainda aos domínios do rock e a artistas como Chuck Berry, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck ou os Rolling Stones.
