Ben E. King, (1938 -2015), foi um cantor de Soul americano. Nasceu em Henderson, Carolina do Norte, mas mudou-se para o Harlem, em New York, com a idade de 9 anos. Ele é, talvez, mais conhecido como vocalista e co-compositor da música Stand by Me do álbum Don't Play That Song gravado em 1961 e lançado em 1962.
