Invictus: O Poema Que Inspirou Mandela Na Prisão

Invictus é um pequeno poema vitoriano de autoria do poeta inglês William Ernest Henley (1849–1903).
Nelson Mandela citou-o como fonte de inspiração durante o seu tempo na prisão de Robben Island de 1964 a 1990.
Invictus é também um filme de 2009 realizado por Clint Eastwood e interpretado por Morgan Freeman e Matt Damon. Freeman e Damon interpretam, respectivamente, o presidente sul-africano Nelson Mandela e François Pienaar, capitão da equipe da seleção sul-africana de rugby union, os Springboks.
Já agora, o termo Invictus (do latim) significa: invencível, bravo, inconquistável, indomável, indócil, indómito, inexpugnável, insubmisso, insuperável e rebelde.
